Artist's Description
This print by Adam Burch depicts the Colorado Air National Guard's 'Minutemen' aerial demonstration team heads over the top of a head-spinning loop. Active from 1953-1959, the Minutemen were the only Air National Guard formation team in the history of the Air Force. They performed in 47 states as well as Mexico and an impromptu display in Kingstown, Jamaica.
The F-86's depicted here were crafted over the course of several weeks as painstaking 3d computer models, then painted over digitally. The entire project took about a month to complete. Each print bears the Minuteman shield, as well as their parent unit, the 120th Fighter Squadron and 140th Wing of the Air National Guard.
